Originally designed as a Japanese steakhouse featuring teppanyaki, the restaurant needed a new direction to draw younger customers. New member to the Chenevert Architects family Kirk Copeland (KCA) was brought in to redesign the seating layout, make the bar area more inviting by creating a more open and receptive space, and to create a focal point in the main dining room in the form of a new sushi bar and kitchen. The introduction of a large mural wall behind the sushi bar and the use of LED downlights and spotlights created a completely different character within the existing space, transforming the dated interior of the restaurant into a modern and dynamic environment for customers to enjoy.
